i tried to give em rights - but its a MESS back there...where do i give em that!

Ive aproved several people the past 2 days. I have not put them in any groups though (part from koddoro who I put in the student group). Is it a must to put people in groups???

yeah, it's the group which grants them access - they can request it themselves but they would need to know that

Might have configured the server wrong wrt emails.

Can someone PLEASE for the love of god and everything HOLY tell me HOW to add ppl into grps?

i find new ppl - and aprove them - but they dont belong to any forumgrp - cant find where to add them to student grp - noway Sad

just a step by step...shao, tyreal and raydan have been aproved...

* Leave the admin pages by realoding the main url (www.clownguild.org).
* Click "Groups" in the left side menu
* Choose "Student of CLOWN" in the dropdown menu (top or bottom one - cant rem)
* At the bottom of the member list you can add new members to that specific group.
*Add member
*Done

I see a "bunch" of icons there - in the adminblock, i find the "group" one and klick it!!!

There is no dropdown meny here!! The group link on the left has led me to "Administration Menu › Group Control Panel"

Here all grps are listed though - rom top to bottom.
I cant click the actuall grp names - but beside them are "edit group" "forum permission" and moduels permission"

if i choose "edit grp - all i can edit is the moderator of the grp >.<

ok - i finally got it - was using the wrong block on theleft side....

anyway - got an error when i add ppl to the grp - but i think it works anyway...

Dont use the "group block" in the admin icon field..

Use the group link in the regular menu...

But yes, I agree, its not intuitive.

It is a process.... no mistake
There are some bugs in the system too so that as you do the right steps you get error messages, I think this is because the site cannot email the person to let them know they are in the group now.
