Had to make one

So far:

* Id like to see whos online, on the "main page" preferably
* Id like a better view of latest posts/topics. Possible to have the latest ten at top of "main page"?
* I miss the "red" color. Its been part of our history for some time now.
* Yep, its slow as Lord Affie updating the pic section. Bin the TS?
* Statistics? How many posts, topics, replies and whatnot....Fjeld would love that
* ......

Hmmm, good suggestions those yes, could use with alittle spicing up colour wise I agree, the earth/grey tones tend to get a little boring. I like the TS however, its a fun feature, and it might get people to actually use it more.

Linking the TS is a great thing. If its slowing down the site as much as it does then Id say it reconsider having it on the "main page". The feature is nice..and a link to it is a must imho

We can remove the TS from coming up in a sidebox, but retain the clickable CLOWNspeak link under the CLOWN Tools menu. That means to see who's on TS you can just click that.

Would that be better? It speeds the site up by at least 200% as it's not waiting for a response from the teamspeak server.


Colours - yes I'm gonna use the red at the top I think. Gonna work out a way of doing it. Either that or the background like on the old site.

Who's online - Now added
Statistics - Now added
Latest posts - I'll see what I can do.

ClownSpeak now turned off but you can select it from the menu to the left.

Not sure how much I can do about "latest posts" but I'll have a play tomorrow.

Design stuff will have to wait til tomorrow.

I also want to know whether people would like a forum dealing with applications to the guild?

Latest posts I think the best I can do is what I have now unfortunately

Gloom you're welcome to have an admin account to check it out yourself - you're more experienced with PHPNuke based sites. Just PM me.

The five latest posts, top center on the main page, arent the same as the latest post bottom left column box..dunno why?

Hmmm, speculation on my part but looks to me like the center main page one are the 5 latest POSTS, while the bottom left column one are the latest TOPICS posted.

[EDIT] Errm, latest, not last.

[EDIT nr. 2] Errm, actually now that I think about it in English last probebly works just as well as latest, so you may disregard the previous EDIT if you so wish...

Hi, Just curious, what kind kind/size/speed is the server and internet connection the site runs on? I "MIGHT" be able to host this on my various Colocation Sites around the world.

No idea what Adeans has planned for the future: to use .org or the more well-known .com url. Personally Id like to see .com to be the one.

Anyways, A has done a great job this far. Lets continue to evaluate, comment and make suggestions to make it an even better site before we talk .org, .com and hosting

Balisarious - It's hosted by 1&1 (http://www.oneandone.co.uk) and I couldn't tell you the specs of the server but it's in a datacentre in Germany and is reasonably speedy. I don't really need hosting unless we run into problems but thanks for the offer Are you having performance issues?

Re: the addons, I purposely disabled the groups view for certain groups - will enable it again as it's part of the function. webmaster @ clownguild.org will be redirected to my email account Thanks for letting me know.
