A message from Mapleleaf...

I think we're just about done here, except for a few minor tweaks and things which can be done just as easily when people are using the site.

Website Switchover

We're experiencing some problems with the performance of the website, which we think we've traced to the database server. I have contacted my webhost to see what the problem is and will keep you informed.

I've made some improvements to the site.

IMPLEMENTED:
- CLOWNspeak no longer loads as a seperate "box" at the side as it was slowing everything right down. To see who's online, click the CLOWNspeak link at the side instead
- "Latest forum posts" added to main page.
- "Who? Where?" added to right hand sidebar
- Shoutblock made a bit bigger
- Forums added for Dark Age of Camelot and as people are playing it, Silk Road Online
- Private messaging limits increased from 100 messages to 500. Can give you more if you end up using them
- Poll options increased from 10 to 30

UPCOMING:
- More red in the design
- New image at the top of the page
- "Lo graphics" version for us slackers who like to read at work without looking shifty.
- Configure PiePoints section. There's something not configured right at the moment so it's not working properly.
- Applications forum? Vote here as to whether you think it's a good idea.

BUGS:
- Putting ' in polls makes it go all odd. Probably a software issue I can't fix but will report.

I've finished tweaking the site for the night and it's now ready to accept members. Please bear in mind that this is still a testing phase so I might delete stuff or edit stuff without warning. However you can reasonably expect most data to remain when the site goes live.

Issues:

- The teamspeak plugin slows the site down considerably. Will probably not display it (you'll have to click the "CLOWNspeak" link to view)
- The Clownopedia needs tweaking
- Some forum permissions might be off.
- When you register you won't have your correct rank/permissions. PM me and I'll set them for you.
- EQDKP (PiePoints) system is installed but not configured.
- Photo gallery hasn't been tested and might not work.
- Avatar uploading might not work, but should do.
- It's pretty cold in England at the moment. A nice warm pie would be nice.
