Please go to this link and read. They are implementing a reward system for destroying abandonded buildings. There are alot of ABANDONDED in CT now. They are offering a free log in period to save your buildings if you choose to and you don't have to have the game downloaded on your PC from what I gather.

If you want to keep CT as it is you may want to take the time to help save it. If not please say farewell to CT SWG.

We will continue to play SWG but there is nothing I can do to save abandonded buildings from other destroying them.

I loged in the other night (as its free to do so atm). Not much I can do to save my houses though - since a sub is required to "unflag" them.

You should be able to keep the town anyways, shouldnt you? it will just shrink and be downgraded to an outpost?

not sure how it will work really. I am citizen and mayor and I doubt with our 8 or 10 characters on chimera it will register. I also don't own the building that the mayor voter thingie is in. So if the buildings that make the town so to speak go "poof" I will just have houses out in the middle of nowhere I guess. I know getting to and from CT will be a pain in the butt because the shuttleport will also go poof. *sigh* I guess all good things will come to an end. But at the moment I can only afford to keep SWG as our game. *sigh*
Oh well figured I would just give a heads up so I didn't get yelled at or outsted for not doing my job properly.

PS you would think if they gave the free period you could refresh your buildings without having to pay for a subscription.

From memory it takes 5 citizens to set up/keep the town. They can (at least could) be from the same account (thats how I managed to set up CT in 2007 - with my 2 accounts). The city hall isnt owned by anyone (and thus doenst count towards the lots).

It is however important that you keep your citizens within the city border for them to count towards the minimum limit. Remember, the city radius shrinks whenever the city drops a level - so be sure to move any houses (and redeclare citizenship) within the new radius. As/if the town moves to a higher level, new citizens will be added if houses are placed within the new, larger radius.

City levels:
1. Outpost - Requires 5 citizens and grants a city radius of 150m. At Rank 1 the city is allowed to have Small Gardens placed.
2. Village - Requires 10 citizens and grants a city radius of 200m. At Rank 2 the city is allowed to have a Bank, a Garage and Medium Gardens placed as well as player-placed Cantinas; you can also begin to set taxes at this level.
3. Township - Requires 15 citizens and grants a city radius of 300m. At Rank 3 a Cloning Facility and Large Gardens may be placed as well as player-placed Hospital.
4. City - Requires 30 citizens and grants a city radius of 400m. At Rank 4 a Shuttleport may be placed as well as player-placed Theaters.
5. Metropolis - Requires 40 citizens and grants a city radius of 450m.

I gather by your post here that I am no longer considered CLOWN and neither is my husband.
Just because you all left and we have stayed for 5+years. Doesn't mean we aren't CLOWN and it certainly shouldn't count us out as CLOWN. We have helped keep it alive up until now.
2 CLOWNS are better then non in my opinion. WAIT SACH makes 3. Hey SACH did you know you don't count as CLOWN either LOL

I have been slacking on my reading lately. More trying to keep up with the new updates and patches and forget all the old school stuff LOL
Did I also mention its been in the negative numbers degrees wise here where we live for almost 2 weeks. -25 farenheit..my brians frozen most of the time.

Hi Loonies

I have deleted the two toons I had in CLOWN and used the free character transfer to transfer my main characters to Chimera. If I could get an invite to CLOWN if it helps to keep CT on the map.
