This goes for every clown, since every full clown can be in the council

"A council is to be made up of active players of the game in question (i.e. World of Warcraft). Thus there will be a game specific council in any game where the CLOWN community is present. There is no limit to the number of councillors allowed but too many would be impractical. Councillors will be given access to a game specific council forum at our site. Inactive players will be removed from the council and denied access to the council forum. The game specific council is there to help the community in any way possible and should not be thought of as elite players!"

This applys for all that belongs to the clown communety I think, not only for those that are in the clown guild.

I for myself have not been very good to follow this rules all the time, and will try to get better at it.

I hope everyone will tey to do the same.. I know some ppl feels like left out from the hunts in new instance in outland, and that is the same ppl that help eachother at not helping all the clowns (communety) that like to do the instancs there.
I have not been lucky yet to dee inside an instance yet in outland, partly myfault.. but as for once .. yesterday some said that one spot was free for an instance I said I xould join, but did get no replay that they had room or not for me.. Thats in my eyes rude, when someone offers to help out.

This is my views of what have been happning latly.... We are a community, even the guild is cald clown, circus, coth or exalted... Someone has forgotten that it seems.

Mithras out.....

PS: if someone has negative comments.. post under here your subectivly views, snstead of riping apart my post, then we can see what ppl lies in what it is to be a member of clown communety are.
PS: I will not respond to this post.

You are not alone about this, i have gotten wispers about this from other CLOWNs that feel left out, and yes it is rude, a reply with "sorry but the spot just got filled" is not hard to write.

Owww man, what a morning Smile

Let's have a first look at the issue BC... Xcill, Mithras and Corny are alone... Hey let's find two more and we can do dungeons!!!! Razz

Then for the CLOWN issue. Once again I agree. And in fact I have a proposal. Could we, next week (as some of the key players in this are in Denmark) have a major TS meeting to discuss what is going on? I think it would definitively help... And I would also say it is time to revamp the council.

1. TS meeting with anyone willing to participate (we'll have to establish rules)
2. Elections of new CLOWN council (maybe the same as it is today but I would say that only active CLOWNs can participate to it)
3. Redefine what we want to happen in the guild. How will we play together? How do we organize collaboration with other guilds like CoTH, Exalted and others?

I have to say one thing also... People that left for Exalted or CoTH are no longer in the WOW Clown guild. It can get annoying but I guess it's normal that they play with their guild and don't give priority to CLOWN anylonger (in WoW... don't change my words). So we should not expect them to react on our requests on Pie. For me Pie channel is now just a way to say hello, that's all.

Me and Ulf have discuss this and we will do as follow :

-We think council need two new members that play active in clowns, we will make a post about this next week where all members will be able to vote for two new members.

-We have discused merging clown and circus, maby we make it all in one guild again.

We will discuss this further when home from Copenhagen.

We need to sort this out. I do think it's exaggerated a lot though.

CLOWNs in Exalted may only have alts in that guild but they still need to spend time playing those alts, so may not be available to help people in CLOWN/Circus. In this manner it detracts from CLOWN a bit. This I think is why the LFG stuff doesn't work so well. Plus BC has only just come out, I'm sure I'm not the only one who hasn't even installed it yet let alone played it much.

However most importantly, we need to keep things in perspective here.

There are some ideas floating around with suggestions on how to make things better, and some I've heard are very good, but I don't think they're quite ready to be announced yet. My advice to those who don't know what's going on, are worried about CLOWN and are upset: we all understand, most of us feel exactly the same. However we need to sit back and let things calm down a bit. Things are happening, but in CLOWN things never really happen that fast Razz

It will be OK in the end and the end is in sight. I suspect things will get quite interesting in the next couple of weeks Smile

I know you've not been in-game Ade, so I can see why you'd think this, but in reality it's the total opposite.

So far, in TBC I've yet to be in a group that didn't include toons from both guilds Smile
Everyone is in pie channel and grouping up Smile

Everyone is helping everyone - the way CLOWN should be..
This is the best indication for me that things are going to be fine Wink

Well... I don't think Xcill, Lithiana and Corny will sign to that post Slin..
Actually regarding the few ones that are not 60 yet, clown should take it upon them to get these leveled to 60 so that they also can hit tbc and join up with the rest of the clowns.

Since I don't play in WoW Clown and since I can't even get on the WoW server, I will put in my two pennies since no one cares what the heck I say!

I am blissfully ignorant of all baggage and high level game play WoW!!!

hehehe

I do understand late game play in general (like in DAoC) and frustrations with grouping, so here we go!

Games like this make guilds grow against their will to accomplish high level dungeons as it takes a bigger player pool. This ALWAYS leads to lowering standards, which leads to people getting pissed off, which leads to guilds splitting.

Then after it all breaks up, the most important factor is which guild is most efficient at completing leveling goals. People go to that guild with one purpose...to level.

Now I understand the fever to level up, especially now...right after the release of the expansion that allows for higher levels. Its gold rush fever. Level NOW or be left behind and smacked around by the Horde. There is also bragging rights, the fame and fun of it, the new discovery. Hell, its kick ass!

Whats not so kick ass is the brutal battle for rare weapons and items. The insane frantic pace and pressure from people who really don't give a rats ass about you.

I think Adenas is right, it is exaggerated right now...but I would say its a real problem.

Clown has survived this exact thing many many times I am sure, so why is now different?

Keep close contact with Exalted, maybe tell them the situation here, if people feel the absolute need to go...then perhaps have them sign on a first as a alt in Clown...say in Clown chat that you are signing in as main in Exalted and to message if they want to join a Exalted group as they will try to form one with whoever responds in it. Then when they sign on as Exalted they will know to state right away they have additional to add. Embassadors of Clown if you will. Not to be confused with the great legend Balisarious, who could'nt be a Embassador because of the "ass" in Embassador. LOL

In a few months a thing this will work out, but those with level fever and feel they need to leave, I think you should just keep the Clown spirit and help the Clowns out. Then go out there and slay some beasties and Horde!

Slin... Sorry to contradict this... Or are there 2 Pie channels? I've been in the new lands with Coryn. I also do have other level 60. Asked for groups several times on Pie, never got an answer. Yesterday changed as I played with Hells and Mag. Mag had been playing alone for quite some time too. Didn't get much answer either.

For me you got the people playing regularly together and having a blast, and the ones trying to get in a grp and that play on their own. I'm part of the second group Smile
