I want to buy a new FullHD TV 42"-52". Can be either plasma or LCD.
I could spend appr. 2000-3000 EUROS to it.
For movie 60% and TV 40% purposes. No need for good speakers. I got "digibox" so no need for integrated one.

Anyone got any ideas or recommendations Shocked ?

If your main purpose is tv/movie (rather then gaming) - go plasma.

why the "full HD", what are ya gone do with it? - i guess watch movies? Like blueray or HDDVD. If thats the case - be sure it can show 24 frames per seconde in 1080p and not scale it like most "full HD" tvs are doing it. Otherwise your tv will add one frame each third frame, and some ppl find this most disturbing /feels like the movie is "lagging"

I just bought a new tv today, smaller one, 40 inch LCD - casue i will still view movies on my projector Razz

Well I ended up with Panasonic 42PZ700. It does have that 24frames problem but can't it be updated later?

I can watch movies with projector too...but it's not for movie purposes, because it's tiny but loud!

ehh, actually I cancel that...I ende up with

SONY KDL-32D3000

32" LCD, I feel anything bigger is too big for room design. I'll use that darn projector then Very Happy

I have a 42" Philips one that I blagged for £600 from Amazon. It is "HD Ready" but that means just 1080i or 720p/i, which is adequate for me anyway - I have an upscaling DVD player. It's LCD tech - apparantly plasma is worse now at all screen sizes except the really really big ones - LCD is the same price, just as clear, uses less power and the screens are lighter. Mine's on the wall in my living room Smile
